When SuperSymmetry USA was asked to build a
java-based frontend for Hong Kong Bank's 160 Sansome HVAC (air
conditioning) System Project, eXtropia.com was called in. In a few
short weeks, our engineers created a full-featured building monitoring
application in Java which allowed the building managers for Hong Kong
Bank to keep up-to-date on the state of their building from anywhere in
the world.
Knowing that more buildings would need monitoring,
we also provided a floorplan generation GUI (much like a simple CAD/CAM
application) which could be used to generate maps upon which real-time
data could be placed by the generic monitoring application. This was
also written in Java and includes such features as drag and drop
objects, dynamic object resizing, and dynamic integration of background
images.
